BRUNSWICK FOR BIKES - ART RIDE
To promote bike riding and support local artists, the office of Tim Read MP, has organised a local art tour - by bike!
We've commissioned three artists to paint murals specifically for this project. Starting at Cycles Galleria on the corner of Lygon and Hickford St, the tour will slowly make its way towards Radhaus. The tour should take no more than an hour.
We'll stop at each mural and the artists will discuss their work and the themes behind it.
(Mural: Cycles Galleria)
A sign painter and mural artist, with a concentration in advertising and realism, originally from Chicago. Connor’s work combines old school advertisements, ephemera and elements of nostalgia to create visually striking pop art paintings that are larger than life.
Shannon Lamden aka 'Hey Nice Murals'
(Mural: private residence, 238 Victoria St, Brunswick)
With 20 years in the design industry, Shannon's work brings together her vast experience in graphic design, illustration and pattern making with her love of painting. Her work blends bright colours and shapes with a brilliant simplicity that's only achieved after decades of experience.
