BETTER BUS SERVICES FOR PARKVILLE GARDENS

Parkville Gardens needs more buses.

The former Commonwealth Games village, is so close to the CBD and yet so poorly served by public transport. With just one service an hour and one extra at peak times, it isn’t enough to be a reliable service leaving students and young workers behind. Running more buses reduces the need for people to join the traffic jam crawling toward the city each morning and would only cost the Government an extra $200,000 a year for five extra services, 2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon during peak times as well as two bus shelters.

Since 2018, I have repeatedly raised this issue in Parliament and with the Treasurer and Transport Minister. Now is the time to show community support. Let's get better bus services for Parkville Gardens.
